GDPR

The new data protection regulations come into effect tomorrow. In order to be compliant with them awsmith.co.uk will delete all information it holds regarding your web accessible account tonight. This does not affect your Dalziel Ltd. account which is managed separately. In all cases to purchase products from us through the website in future you will need to recreate your account.

When you recreate your account please take note of our Privacy Notice, we will

  • Keep your data secure and confidential
  • Not pass your data on to any third party without your consent
  • Retain your information as required by law such as for tax and accounting purposes
  • Only use your data for the purpose it was obtained and intended, or as otherwise communicated to you.

Please note that we use a third party payment processor for credit card payments. All of our partners are GDPR / Privacy Shield compliant.

Payment
We accept most major credit cards. Please give card number, security code, expiry date, issue number (Switch only) and the name and address of the cardholder.
Please make cheques payable to: Dalziel Limited T/A A W Smiths
All orders paid by cheque will be dispatched after the cheque has cleared.

VAT
All prices on this website are correct at time of press but may change without notice.
All prices are plus V.A.T. at the rate on day of invoice. (The standard rate of VAT increased from 17.5 per cent to 20 per cent on 4 January 2011)

Delivery Terms
We aim to ship all orders within 48hrs unless otherwise stated. Overnight Orders must be placed before 1:30pm to be received the next working day. Orders taken after 2pm (GMT) on Friday will not be processed until Monday.
Special Instructions to leave goods in a safe place should customer not be available are down to the discretion of the courier drive.

Carriage Rates
Standard carriage charge (2/3 day delivery, upto 20kg) is £9.00. Orders over £50 (Ex VAT) on the website Only will receive free standard carriage. Next day delivery is available on most products at an extra charge, please contact us for more information. For Scottish Highlands, Channel islands and Overseas, please e-mail our sales team. (Post codes that require additional shipping costs are IV, BT, KW, PA, PH, PO, GY, JE, HS, KA, ZE, TR, IM, HR, LD, NP, SA, SY, LL)

Warranty
All new machines are covered by a 12 month parts only warranty, this does not include labour or fitting which are available at extra cost. This warranty does not cover consumable parts, day to day wear and tear or if the machine has been mis-used or damaged. Full terms and conditions are available on request.

All Machines marked with "1 year back to base guarantee" are subject to repair only. Cost of collections & re-deliveries will therefore be the responsibility of the consumer.

Returns
We will normally offer a refund to you if you have told us within 14 days of receiving your goods that you want to cancel. You have another 14 days to return the goods once you have told us.

We will notify you when we've received your return and we aim to process refunds within 14 working days of receiving the goods back.

The length of time it takes for the funds to appear in your account will depend on your payment provider

Product Images and descriptions
Please note that the colour of images shown on this website may be affected by the technology used to access it. Whilst we do our best to faithfully reproduce colours, some variation may occur.
Dalziel Limited attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, Dalziel Limited does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by Dalziel Limited is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition.

Items Out Of Stock 
If for any reason, a product is out of stock our customer service team will contact you to inform you of the new delivery date and/or offer a suitable replacement.

Damages/Shortages
The company must be notified within 24 hours of receipt, otherwise no claim can be accepted. Goods should be examined on arrival, if boxes are damaged then the delivery note should be signed as such. Un-examined goods should be signed as un-examined on the delivery note.

Damaged goods cannot be credited or replaced if they have been used.
