A.W.Smith began life in 1930 as a knife grinding business - founded by Alfred Smith. In 1952 our present day Managing Director Roger Smith started with the company and our first shop opened in the Birmingham Wholesale Market in 1975.

Today AW Smith & Sons (Sundries) Ltd is a well established and highly successful family business which has continually supported the Meatex exhibition. We are a Corporate member of the Guild of Quality Butchers and we are affiliated with National Federation of Meat Traders, the Guild of Fine Food Retailers and F.A.R.M.A
